Charlotte is the longest of our regular routes, roughly 385 miles into the Carolinas. The drive heads up I-95 North out of Jacksonville, then cuts inland on I-26 and climbs I-77 toward the Queen City. It crosses two state lines, so it runs under our interstate authority, but the load itself never changes hands: our crew packs the truck here and unloads it in Charlotte.
A lot of these moves are people following work. The banking and finance hub pulls professionals north, and families relocate for the lower cost of living and the four-season weather they cannot get on the First Coast. Plenty land in the suburbs too, places like Huntersville, Matthews, and Fort Mill just over the South Carolina line.
At this distance we plan it as a one- to two-day haul, and we wrap carefully because the load spends real time on the road through the Carolina hills.
